It manages Entebbe International Airport (EIA) and thirteen (13) other upcountry aerodromes. CAA carries out its work in conformity with International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs). The Authority now plans to recruit suitably qualified Ugandans of impeccable integrity and commitment to fill the following positions in its establishment as detailed below
JOB REF: CAA/ADV/EXT/09/2011
JOB TITLE: Air Traffic Management
VACANCIES: 10
REMUNERATION: CAA Salary scale – Level 10
REPORTS TO: Manager Air Traffic Management
JOB PURPOSE: The position exists to provide information, instructions and directions to pilots under (his/her) control in order to achieve a safe, orderly and timely flow of air traffic.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Provide aerodrome control at Airports.
Provide approach control at Airport Terminal areas.
Provide flight information services to Pilots.
Provide alerting services.
Originate NOTAMS concerning duty stations.
Alert crash and fire services whenever necessary in accordance with the local instructions and procedures.
Carry out any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Requirements:
PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
• A good University degree with a bias in any of the following: Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Computer Science and Geography.
OR
• Private Pilot’s License
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
• Computer literacy with wide experience in use of MS office applications.
• Must be able to speak English without impediment
• AGE: Not more than 26 years.
